During my time at the Kelowna Museum, I had the incredible opportunity to merge my passion for marketing and design with the world of local history. As part of the dynamic team, I played a hands-on role in creating engaging exhibits, managing the museum’s social media presence, and assisting with events that brought the community together. One of my favorite projects was the Kelowna Collects exhibit, where I was able to help curate and showcase the fascinating stories behind the artifacts that shaped our local culture. The exhibition not only allowed me to flex my creativity, but it also gave me a deeper appreciation for Kelowna’s rich history.

Another highlight was contributing to the museum’s 100th-year Centennial celebration. It was such an honor to be a part of such a monumental occasion and to help tell the story of Kelowna’s journey over the past century through both digital and in-person experiences. The memories I made with the museum’s talented and warm staff will always stay with me. Their passion for history and their dedication to preserving the past for future generations made every day a joy. While I miss working alongside such an incredible team, I’m proud to have played a small part in the museum’s continued success and community impact. ‘
